# Deals

> The Deals screen of the RAY admin portal publishes merchant deals and offers to users: each deal has a title, merchant, image, start and end dates, description, optional URL, phone number and promo code, category and audience; deals can be archived and deleted, and are grouped in categories. Found under Community → Deals.

## Summary

The **Deals** screen in the RAY admin portal publishes deals from merchants, for example a discount at a
nearby restaurant. It has three tabs: **Active** (current and upcoming deals), **Archived**, and
**Categories**.

## Where to find Deals

* Menu: **Community → Deals** (Arabic: **المجتمع ← عروض**)
* Tabs: **Active**, **Archived** and **Categories**

## Who can access Deals

Deals is shown only to users with an **Admin** role that includes the deals feature.

## Deals list columns

**Image**, **Title**, **Merchant**, **Description** (click to read), **Scheduled on**, **Ends On**,
**URL**, **Promo Code** and **Phone Number**, with actions. Filter by search, **Date Range** and
**Category**.

## Deal fields

| Field                        | Required | Meaning and rules                                    |

| **Title**                    | Yes      | Title of the deal.                                   |
| **Category**                 | No       | A deal category from the **Categories** tab.         |
| **Merchant**                 | Yes      | Who offers the deal.                                 |
| **Image**                    | Yes      | "The recommended aspect ratio is 16:9 (750x422 px)." |
| **Start Date**, **End Date** | Yes      | When the deal runs.                                  |
| **Description**              | Yes      | Details of the deal.                                 |
| **URL**                      | No       | "Url must start with http\:// or https\://".         |
| **Phone Number**             | No       | The merchant's phone.                                |
| **Promo Code**               | No       | The code users enter.                                |
| Audience                     | Yes      | All users, or specific users and groups.             |

## How to add a deal

1. Open **Community → Deals**, tab **Active**, and click **Add**.
2. Fill in the **Title**, **Merchant**, **Image**, **Start Date**, **End Date** and **Description**,
   and optionally the **Category**, **URL**, **Phone Number** and **Promo Code**.
3. Set the audience.
4. Click **Save**.

## How to archive or delete deals

* In the **Active** tab: each deal has **Archive**, **Edit** and **Delete**. Tick several deals to use
  the bulk **Archive** or **Delete** action (**Selected Deals**).
* In the **Archived** tab: **Edit** or **Delete** a deal, or bulk **Delete**.

## Deal categories

The **Categories** tab lists categories by **Name**. Click **Add**, enter the **Name** and click
**Save**.
