# External Links

> The External Links screen of the RAY admin portal manages links shown to users: each link has an image, a name, a universal, iOS and/or Android URL, and an audience. Found under Community → External Links.

## Summary

The **External Links** screen in the RAY admin portal manages links to other websites and apps, for
example a utility provider's app or a community website. A link can have one universal URL, or
separate URLs for iOS and Android devices.

## Where to find External Links

* Menu: **Community → External Links** (Arabic: **المجتمع ← روابط خارجية**)

## Who can access External Links

External Links is shown only to users with an **Admin** role that includes the external links feature.

## External Links list columns

**Image**, **Name**, **Universal URL**, **iOS URL**, **Android URL** (each clickable), **Audience**
(**All Users** or **Specific Users and Groups**), and **Edit** and **Delete**.

## External link fields

| Field                                           | Required     | Meaning and rules                                                                      |
| ----------------------------------------------- | ------------ | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Image**                                       | Yes          | "The recommended aspect ratio is 1:1 (500x500px)".                                     |
| **Name**                                        | Yes          | Per language.                                                                          |
| **Universal URL**, **iOS URL**, **Android URL** | At least one | "Please fill in at least one of the three URL fields above". Each must be a valid URL. |
| **Audience**                                    | Yes          | **All Users**, or **Specific Users and Groups** with at least one user or group.       |

## How to add an external link

1. Open **Community → External Links** and click **Add**.
2. Upload the **Image** and enter the **Name**.
3. Enter the **Universal URL**, or the **iOS URL** and **Android URL**.
4. Choose the **Audience**.
5. Click **Save**.

## Common questions about external links

### How do I open a different app store link on iPhone and Android?

Leave **Universal URL** empty and fill both **iOS URL** and **Android URL**.
