Summary

The Surveys screen in the RAY admin portal builds surveys and polls for users. A survey is Pending while its questions are being written. Complete schedules it between a From and a To date; the survey is then Scheduled and its questions can no longer be changed. After that, its page shows who answered and the results.

Where to find Surveys

  • Menu: Community → Surveys (Arabic: المجتمع ← الاستبيانات)
  • Clicking a survey opens its page.

Who can access Surveys

Surveys is shown only to users with an Admin role that includes the surveys feature.

Every question has a Question text (at most 100 characters) and a Mandatory checkbox.

How to create and publish a survey

  1. Open Community → Surveys and click Add.
  2. Enter the Title and optional fields, and click Save.
  3. Open the survey and click Add Question for each question.
  4. Click Complete. The dialog warns: “Once you complete the survey, you can no longer go back and edit it.”
  5. Choose the From and To dates and click Save. The survey becomes Scheduled.

  • While Pending: the Questions tab lists the questions, with Edit and Delete on each; the buttons are Edit, Add Question and Complete (once there is at least one question).
  • Once Scheduled: the page shows the Audience (number of users), Answered and Not Answered percentages, and an Export button. Tabs: Users (each user’s Status, Answered or Not Answered, and Answered on; not shown for anonymous surveys) and Results (each question’s answers).

Common questions about surveys

How do I make a poll with one question?

Create a survey, add one Multiple Text Choices question with Number of Possible Answers set to 1, then Complete it.

Can I change a question after publishing?

No. The portal warns “Once you complete the survey, you can no longer go back and edit it.” After Complete, the Questions tab and Add Question are no longer shown.

How do I download the answers?

Open the scheduled survey and click Export.

How do I run an anonymous survey?

Tick Answers Are Anonymous on the survey. The Users tab is then not shown.
